Northern Illinois and Southern Wisconsin - could range anywhere from 2200 - 3500 - have seen one A listed for $5000.00. Here the estates are buying them if they cant find a Cub or an 8N. The one listed for $5000 the seller stated they were waiting for the right yuppie to come again and buy it so they can tell their friends they have a "real" tractor. Also have to consider the prices of lawn tractors - if they are 1700 and up, why not buy the A for 2200? Most recent local one I saw wanted 1700.00 - tires flat, metal poor, smoking - and then they wanted to wait 30 -60 days for pick up as they were selling their farm. Sometimes I wonder also if the internet is not pushing up the prices as it is an easy means to advertise - one guy sees a great looking H that has been rebuilt to the Nth degree like Red's, the one he just sold, and then figures what the heck lets see if mine can sell for that or more, even though it has not been restored. Also wonder how many really sell for the prices stated. Just a thought, no proof or actual knowledge of anyone doing that. Jim
