Probably cover to cover, detergent and hytran were not sold when the tractor was built--1947. I currently have the latest version of the Super M manual, which covers both the belly pump and live hydraulics. It does not mention detergent vs non detergent for the belly pump, just to use premium quality engine oil. At some point in the 50's our dealer started selling detergent oil, nothing was made of that and at that time no one worried about foaming -- as I said it was not a problem for our H. If you have a manual about the belly pump that says not to use detergent, give me a quotation out of it and I will withdraw my statement.
