Have an old IH 424. Didn't have a working oil pressure gauge for at least 20 yrs. Started having steam coming out of the oil filler pipe. Was a leaking sleeve seal. Replaced the sleeves with pistons, main and rod bearings from below. Replaced cylinder head and gasket from above. Ran great without any problems except, I put a new oil pressure and temp gauge and there is very little oil pressure--like it doesn't really read any once it's warmed up. So I replaced the oil pump with a new one. No difference at all. Runs fine and I've run it pretty hard. I'm just concerned that it has no oil pressure.
