Hy-Tran is also repackaged as high performance power steering fluid due mostly to it's superior anti foaming qualities.
Discovered this back in the late seventies when Virgil Welch came in to McKnight's in Elwood Indiana asking if there was any possibility that Hy-Tran might have the anti foaming qualities that this fluid he had for the power steering unit in his sprint car needed. He opened the bottle and it was definitely Hy-Tran, only at about 4 times the price of Hy-Tran.
