I assume you mean 503 combine as I don't know of a 504 (which doesn't mean it does not exist). A 503 gas combine had a 282 engine in it. My book shows a 263 in the 606 which is the same family just smaller. The 282 in a 503 did not have sleeves while a 282 in a 560 did. There will be other things to change ie the 503 has the hydraulic pump mounted to the engine you may or may not have to change the front timing cover. As far as the problem with bell housing there is a bell housing adapter plate that bolts the block so you can maybe use the one from the tractor on the engine. My main concern is why would you want to go from diesel to gas?
