Good trouble shooting. Yes, you are missing the tiny little plug. I just rebuilt the carburetor for my F12 last week and was curious about that little plug. Also, I started mine up last night for the first time since I bought it two years ago. Probably hasn't run in quite some time. I hope you can get your part (I don't know if you can buy that new) and have the same result. Good luck!
