Ronnie, Hytran or equivalent is good for both trans/diff as well as hydraulics. The only problem using Hytran you may get oil seeps out of outer axle bearings, diff lock actuator, pto shaft or into brake housings. BUT if tractor had Hytran in trans/diff without problems then it should be good to go again. The next generation of tractors newer than the 424 had Hytran in the trans/diff as the trans/diff is used as hydraulic resrvior and hydraulic pump(s) are in the trans/diff case. JimB
