when the head is warped that is common procedure to have it shaved, .010,.020 or .030 is common.that is all part of a valve job along with every other part to be inspected and replaced as nessesary. it can only be worst when you remove too much meat and the pistons hit the valves. going overboard will also affect valve adjustment.
