The coil on my 300 seemed to have quit working today while I was skidding a log, at least it would not run and when I put in a spare coil I had it did run again. The coil was the one that came on the tractor and was pretty old looking, so is the spare I put on today. I think it is time to buy a new coil but I am mystified by the variety of coils out there. The 300 has a battery distributor, not a mag. My inclination is to buy a cheap one off ebay or see if I can get one at NAPA but if it would be wiser to buy a more expensive coil I can do that. Any advice will be much appreciated. Zach
