I finally got my H-4 magneto in working order and wanted to get it back on my 1944 W-4, and get it running again, but this was not the case. I followed the manual for timing the engine and the magneto but I think something is not right. I set the engine to TDC on the #1 cylinder on compression stroke. After this I set the magneto so the rotor was pointing at the #1 cylinder pin. The issue is they do not line up at all, when I try and put the magneto back on the tractor. Was puzzles me is that this tractor did run. I simply took the magneto off so that I could rebuild it and get rid of the external coil. Simply put I am lost and do not know where to begin, can anyone help me?
