Disk and PP will come out. If it is missing on one cylinder, and white smoke is puffing in time with that miss, Your guess is probably good. If it is not missing, and you still want to check, do a compression check while switched to the gas start mode. Though the compression will likely be low, look for uniformity. 10% is max difference.
