If the engine is installed, and the clutch shaft is through the disk into the pilot bearing yes. If you take the compression bolts out with no shaft in it, the disk will be way out of alignment, and the shaft will not stab through, the disk will bind and possibly bend on the splines. Remove those three bolts after the clutch shaft is installed and tied to the drive yolk. into the trans. Using the shaft to align it ahead of time is OK, but the best is to let it be loose till the engine is fully attached, as that allows the greatest degree of freedom when putting it together. Jim
