Letting you all know scammers are alive and well but not getting my money. Advertised a tractor part on the classifieds. received a text wanting more pics. received an e-mail and said the price and pics were good and said his "associates" would be sending a certified check and wanted to pick up the part asap. Red Flag. Asked him which bank check was written off of. No response for that but wanted my address so he could send the check. Well I did send address and also with message saying NO part will be picked up until I knew check was good and money in the bank. No response until a week later saying he agreed to wait until I was satisified with check and let him know. Check came priority mail for $2200 dollars more than I was asking for part. Nice try! Wife works in banking took it to work and checked the routing number and it was from a real bank, BUT the bank address from routing number didn't match the address on the address on check. She called the bank and told them about it and said they get this all the time. To bad a few people can wreck a good way to buy and sell things. since this it's CASH only deal for this boy. Thought you would like to know.
