Someone has probably put a 12v battery in it and disconnected the generator. It probably has a 6v regulator on it and is wired for 6v positive ground. This is just speculation, since there wasn't many details to go on. If you could give us a few more details. Like 6v or 12v generator & regulator, positive or negative ground. Bill {Antique Acres}
