If it is the upper constant mesh gear you can replace it through the bottom of the clutch housing after removing the belly pump(if so equipped) and the input shaft. If it is the lower constant mesh gear you will have to pull the gas tank, belt pulley drive, etc and I would recommend that you remove the seat and unbolt the steering column and hang it from the ceiling. The the transmission top cover comes off and you are looking at the gears. The upper shaft comes out with three bolts and the countershaft comes out once the nut and snap ring are removed. Zach
