The three major factors are stroke,piston diameter, and strength (includes rod diameter, and pressure limits PSI applied, and push pull limits. If these are close, and or better in the new cylinder you are good to go. It cannot be longer, or shorter without major issues. The end fastning pin holes are also important in that if they are smaller, they must be machined out to match the IH cyl. if too big, they must be bushed. Jim
