Brakes on a Super A

Drivers side brake pedal goes down with little resistance and does nothing. I can see the pin is in place on the adjustment rod outside of the tractor. Trying to look through the small opening, everything looks OK. Took the wheel off and it looks like the draw bar assembly must come off than the 6 bolts that hold on,what I'll call the Final drive and that will give me access to the inner assembly. Is this correct or is there something else. Sad thought here is that I am getting ready for Winter and plowing snow. By the way. It did snow here today. SE MI
