I've put in two sets of electronic ignitions. One in a SMTA and the other in an older Toyota fork truck.The f.trk. would burn out a set of points in 3 days of moderate use and was a bear to start. That was approx 4 yrs ago & haven't had a bit o f problems starting. T
he first set I put in the SMTA was dead. I called the guy I bought it from and he sent me a new one NC. That was before I put the ones in the f.trk. and haven't had any issues with it.
I've recomended them to several friends & no one has complained about theirs. Pertronix is what I have used. I have a set in the sshop to go in to a SM as soon as I get the time to put them in.
