Mark, the regulator valve seat is indeed threaded. To get mine out I took an extra 13/16 socket and ground it so it had little nubs on it, about 1/16 high by a little less than 1/16 wide, and used that as a tool to remove the seat. Good idea to wrap that socket with a couple layers of masking tape or similar so you don't scratch the bore. After that it came apart pretty easy. Only thing I couldn't get out was the auxiliary safety valve (only on power steering equipped) that is on the other end of the valve block. If you don't have an exploded view to go by, go to your Case/IH parts guy and ask if he will print you a copy of that page, (Page 310 or 312 in the parts manual) It will be a great help. I found quite a bit of debris when I took out the safety valve orifice, but it wasn't on the screen, but in the hole. Be sure to blow out all passages thoroughly. My 300U is equipped with a couple remotes, it has two more control valves mounted ahead of the fast-hitch valve (near the front of the right side of the reservoir). Those remotes are for a loader, in my case, which is not currently mounted.

The seed bed was soft enough that the rear end would spin and slowly work its way to the downhill side of the gardens slight incline. From this, we learned our lesson sinc
