The front tire and rim on my Super A finally gave out. The tire was getting bad and when I removed it from the rim I found that the rim was bad and someone had used duct tape on the inside of the rim. So my question is; I have an older parts Farmall A that has good front tires and rims. The problem is the older rims are held on by wheel clamps and lug nut. The Super A rim has cast lugs that are riveted on the rim and they slip over the wheel studs and then the lug nuts are installed. Should I change out the cast spoke hubs and use the older style rim or should I use the tires and find a newer style rim? When did IH stop using the old style wheel clamps on the front rims?
