When your plows were built, IH probably coated the moldboards and disks with a colored varnish. The manuals said to remove it before plowing. I just finished restoring a plow and used EZ-Slide (by VanSickle) that I got at Tractor Supply. I assume it and Plow Coat are similar. From here, it was the nearest source for that sort of product. I may want to try plowing with it so didn't want to paint it. It should be easy to put more on if it needs it later on.
