With your symptoms I would not automatically decide the problem is with the data center.
The engine speed and PTO speed both rely on the sensor reading the flywheel ring gear teeth. Check the sensor for continuity. It should not be an open circuit. Someone else may chime in with an average ohm reading for a good sensor.
The Speed signal is an indication of a weak sensor, adjusted too far from the gear, or too much resistance in the wiring or connectors.
The exhaust temperature readings could also be a poor connection or a bad sensor in the manifold.
