Steel, copper, or plastic will work. My personal preference is steel. If the tractor is used a lot the copper or plastic can wear through if they are allowed to rub on anything. Even normal vibration can cause them to wear through since they are softer materials. You don"t want to risk developing an oil leak. A big leak, like if a plastic line breaks will run the engine out of oil. Just my opionion!
