Ok, guys, What's the trick to reinstalling the pto unit on the 706 or its 06/66 relatives. I can't quite get it that last 1" or so. I believe the pto shaft coupler is not hitting the shaft dead center. It appears the main shaft inside the tractor has drooped slightly so I have it propped up 1/4" via the drain plug hole and a metal rod. The tight fitting pto housing to frame prevents me moving it enough to feel the shaft coupling to properly stab the unit. I was thinking about icing down the pto unit and heating the frame slightly to loosen the fit enough to install it. There has to be an easier method. Thanks for the input.
