Transmission input shaft, top shaft and lower shaft needs removed and reinstalled with some parts added to both. Unless switching complete shafts removed from another transmission with parts already on them. 9 speed input shaft replaces the original also. Hole drilled in transmission or clutch housing, depending on the model. Maybe the reverse idler shaft retaining bolt hole threads drilled out, agian depending on the time frame unit was made. They didn't make all units exactly the same as time went along.
