Both intake and exhaust are the same setting. The book says 0.014 Hot and what I do is set them at 0.016 or 0.017. (cold) Learned many years ago a little rattle at the rocker arms is better then no noise in that area. Back when I had an old slant 6 in a dodge car I had I was told if they did not sound like a sewing machine then the valves where set to tight and would end up with burnt valves so you wanted a tick tick sound
