Is their a way to eliminate the front wheel shimmy on a H/M narrow front due to the gear sector & steering worm being worn? Our M is bad and it has only the 1/2 gear sector type not the full type so it can't be rotated to some unworn teeth.
I checked with Mother I-H and the gear sector & steering worm & shaft is over $1000.00 IF they can be found. Ouch!! Someone on another site said these parts can be bought aftermarket. Any suggestions as to where?
Is their a company that any of you know of that builds up the worn areas of both parts and machines them back to spec? Or is their any other type of fix that can be done reasonably cheaper than $1000.00?
