4th and 5th sliding gear has teeth that lock on the transmission input shaft much like splines when shifted to 5th. Probably need a transmission input shaft and a 4th, 5th sliding gear to repair. Transmission main shaft bearing into the input shaft may be bad also. Good used parts for a SH transmission are hard to find due to less numbers made. Don't know if anyone is making aftermarket replacements. If there's any new old stock I couldn't find any the last time I looked.
