If the RPM is taken to 2500 or so, springs with 30% more compressed strength is going to do it. Double wound springs with a second spring inside arn't needed until you get to the 4000 RPM area which is usually deadley for a 3 main bearing engine. Be sure the springs chosen are not coilbound at open valve position, and at some point you are just wearing the cam and lifters. Jim
