The tractor is an IH 240 wide front manual steering utility. It has a c-123 engine which I just refreshed with new rings and bearings. local IH tractor experts are baffled when I try to ID. parts needed for steering overhaul which is why I can't locate needed parts. the parts manuals don't reflect my issues for correct parts. the steering sector is below the gas tank and has a steering control arm coming from the output shafts stubbing out from each side controlling the left and right front wheel respectively. I need the one piece steering worm shaft, bearings and seal from steering wheel to this gear box. this arrangement is similar to IH 300 or 460 tractor. don't know of part #'s to request. parts I did order had to be returned as un-useable, incompatable to my situation. The tractor is decaled as IH 240, I suppose anybody could slap different ID decals on it!
