I suspect that the end of that tube seals against the bearing when you tighten the bolt that holds the pully on. However, I replaced that tube and mine still leaks, even with a new seal. Draining the belt pully housing is only a temporary cure as lube is pumped into there by the oil slinger gear. Dave
