Thanks Bernard, but there is no cover on the left side. The only thinkg on the left side in the control valve that is used when you push to go forward or reverse. I took that valve apart and it looks ok. A little dirty but nothing looks wierd. I have been all over this baby and the book really sucks. It tells me what you are saying, but there is no covers on the left side. I have a IH 3514 and the book tells me its a 656 hdro. There is a round cover on the right side I guess I will start taking off covers to see what I have.
