Rotella 15w-40 is an excellent choice to use in the engine, but is NOT appropriate for a hydraulic system. Original specs for the belly pump called for 30 weight NON detergent for warm weather use, 20 weight for cooler weather, and 10 weight for extreme cold weather, but please understand that when these tractors were built 70 years ago, the recommended fluids were the absolute best there was. Much better oils exist today, and the best oil for the belly pump today is the Case-IH Hy-tran, OR the universal 303 fluid you can get at your local farm store.
