You probably have a 454 however,there are 2 versions. Does your tractor have a Delco starter and alternator making it a U.S. version or does it have a Lucas or Bosch electrical system which would make it the British version that was sold in Canada. If it is the British version,look on the front bolster housing just ahead of where the engine serial number (the 179DT#)is located. The tractor serial number is mounted vertically on a metal plate on the back side of the bolster hsg. If the tractor has a loader on it you may have "stand on your head" to see the serial plate. Check this out and let us know what you find.
