OK, when I said the brackets were square, I did not look at my SA. On mine the attachment on the seat is in the 3rd hole on the left breacket, the 4th hole on the right. I put a new seat on mine and did not count the holes, I just put it where I wanted it and where it fit. I don't know if this will help or not. If it doesn't someone sold you either the wrong or improperly made brackets or seat. Perhaps the brackets were made for a B, not sure they are the same, gene bender will know.
