I hope you don't plan on doing much cultivating with the manual lift unit. If you do I hope you are young and much of a man. I saw too many of those old tractors parked and not used just because they did not have hydraulics. My grandfather had an Avery, my uncle had a JD, and we had a neighbor abandon an F-12 on our farm just because there were no hydraulics. My mom said my dad would come in from plowing all day on that Avery and eat his meal and go to bed without speaking. FYI he taught me never to raise a plow without the tractor moving so keep that in mind when you try to operate those cultivators.
