We had the same problem, and so did my uncle on his 350. He replaced the seals and redid the shaft at work, it would last for about 50 hours. We put new hydraulic pump on the 300 this spring, made huge difference. Now we have put the loader on it and run it off the tractor hydraulics. Dad said the 300 had a strong pump from the beginning, but he was mistaken. After the new pump, we could lift the rear of the tractor off the ground at idle with the fasthitch. New pumps aren't cheap, we lucked out. The dealership wanted to get rid of it, so it only cost $250. Don't buy a rebuild, i heard they don't last.
