Well, Got a new starter switch today but NAPA did not have the cable from the start switch to the starter. I have it on order but wanted to try to start her up anyway. After close inspedtion the cable was badly damaged (no insulation in a couple of spots) which I believe caused my problem. I taped the whole thing with electrical tape and sure enough, it cranked right up. There was a short in there for sure. Learnt the hard way. Hope my experience can help someone else. I will install brand new NAPA cable tomorrow. Thanks for replies!!!!
