If you're going up and down, the WIDTH of the tractor has no bearing.
Even so, the 240 may be narrower, but it is also LOWER to the ground than a Farmall, making it more stable.
Going up and down, you need to ensure that you don't have a light front end. Keep the loader bucket low if you have one. Hang weights on the front end if you don't.
Popping the clutch while on the hill with a light front end is a death sentence.
