Hey whats the big deal, overall an interesting subject considering that the 3 point is still being made today and the "Fast Hitch, Snap Coupler and Eagle" all failed for different reasons. Now I'll be the first to say that I know little about the Eagle hitch but the Snap Coupler with the dangers of the front mount breaking while being used (you can tell me all day about being properly maintained but most of the farmers in the day were hacks as mechanics). Then here comes IH with the fast hitch.....where you have to buy IH implements. Case in point, BIL's father was a die hard IH tractor man. He hated the fast hitch system cause he had no problems buying implements from different companies and demanded the ability to shop around. He had 3 560's with he Fast Hitch and no fast hitch implements, none, zero, zip. A lot of farmers in the late 50's, 60's and early 70's were very independent and hated to be told anything! He also had an 826. He had an adapter to allow him to use 3 point stuff on the fast hitch system. Only used one 560/fast hitch implement, a JD cultivator with the adapter. He had drawbar plows and disk for the 560's. When he got the 826 new he bought a lot of 3 point stuff and never looked back!
