Here is some synthetic Mobil 1 information from some REAL experts.
My only question on using Mobil 1 synthetic as a flush oil is WHY ???? It sells for $8 per quart. Sell it or use it , it's good for a minimum of 7500 miles or 1 years use in a gas engine. Use a good diesel oil that costs half that much and has the correct additive package for a diesel engine.
as to synthetic oil like Mobil 1, there is no problem breaking in a new engine using it, or changing an engine from synthetic to mineral oil or back at any miles.
I changed my pickup from mineral oil to mobil 1 at 180,000 miles with no leaks or problems and broke in a new inverter generator generator on Mobil 1 last month. It seated the rings and went to 0 oil consumption in 2 hours.
