I just got done doing the same thing. Before I started I took a Carter off and put a Zenith on. The Zenith will put the Carter to shame. Just changing carbs made all the difference in the world with the old pistons still in. It seemed like the new carb was running alittle on the lean side, but I only use the tractor for pulling. Now that I have stepped head pistons in it and have done a bunch of head work, I got one of the adjustable needles off this site and put in it. I also drilled the jet out just a couple of sizes bigger. It idles better, but I have not pulled this season to see what it will do under a full load.
