But still plenty good, as Jim experienced. So if Jim had used a high emissivity paint he may have gotten down to 205 in extreme usage.

I should have added that radiators need to be painted black to get the best heat transfer. It is not an accident that you never see non-black on a radiator from a factory, including the plastic ones. Black paint has higher emissivity than other colors with similar other properties. You may find a dark flat grey which is better than a shiney black.
