There are a few different places that the leak can be coming from, to locate leaks like this. What I do is split the tractor, and remove the flywheel. Then plug the crankcase blowby tube with a rag. If there is a breather hose from the valve cover to the air cleaner pipe you will need to plug the hole in the valve cover also. Install the bolts that you removed from the flywheel back into the end of the crankshaft finger tight. Now install a air blow gun in the dipstick hole with a little rag and add some (little) air pressure to the crankcase and watch the rear seal area for bubbles. If you spray a little soapy water on the rear seal that will help to find the leak. Let us know what was leaking. good luck charlie
