My 300 U does not have a loader, and with the tipped front wheels (tippped in at the bottom), I am just as glad that it doesn't have the front end weight of a loader. If you don't really need a loader, I'd consider taking it off then the tractor will be much more agile.
But I do have a Superior brand loader on a 340 U, with one way lift cylinders, and they leaked. The 340 has a better front axle and handles this loader well. So I took the cylinders to a hydraulic rebuild shop and they custom made the necessary parts, as the original parts are NLA. IIRC, the rebuild costs on each cylinder were about $250 each. Another option is to look for replacement cylinders in the Burden Surplus catalog or website, but I think they are about the same cost, and may need to have the mounting ends modified to fit your loader. I believe the hydraulic pressure created by the factory pump on the 300 is about 1800 psi (??), lower than the standard of 2500 to 3000 psi used by today's equipment. This can affect the choice of loader cylinder diameters. If you order new cylinders, look for ones with larger cylinder rods (rams) as they are less likely to bend when extended.
