Epoxy has worked for me on a 9N gas tank, but you wouldn't want to use an exterior fix if the pinholes are on the side or top where it can be seen. Two years and not a drop.

I've been working on the tin of '39 B I bought last month. Mismatched tires, crummy welded draw bar, and other stuff to fix.
