The same exact rims were also used on Case tractors (silver colored) and on John deeres (painted yellow). Those rims were made by Good-Year, Firestone, etc., and I'm pretty sure they wouldn't have used 2 different types of materials. Would not have been cost effective. So either all of those were galvanized, or none of them were, but in any event, I think all of them left the factory with some kind of paint on them.
