Well, among other things, make sure you block it so it not only can't FALL, but CAN'T ROLL when you don't expect it to! You want to be around to enjoy the next generation! Get some very sturdy angle or channel iron, bolt or weld up some stands that will attach to each part, and separate it. Helps a lot if one of the units can be rolled safely to get room to work. Whatever you use to support the front half needs to be wide enough to be stable.
