Hey guys! Replaced the bolster bushings and wheel bearings on my MD last weekend. Also turned the steering shaft down and installed a bushing at the center support. However I noticed my sector gear was significantly worn (more than I have ever seen before). Unfortunately it is not a full round so I cant just turn it (trying to locate a couple GOOD full rounds to keep on hand). Anyway, wondering if I could make some hardened steel shims to put below the gear? Thought if I shimmed it up maybe .100 or .125" the gears would at least be contacting a little bit of fresh steel. Thought???
