I just got done reading the same thing in my owner's manual. I believe everything is working correctly now whereas before it was sticking. We'll see how it behaves after paint.
I have found no reason to purchase a service manual thus far as I am only re-painting the tractor. Besides, everyone on this forum has been a great help! :D
